Today Ella said...

"Geenight"
"Bye"
"Jakey"
"Gidget, kitty"
"Hey"
"Dada"

I'm still waiting for "Mama." She seems to think we are one and the same. When I ask her where my eyes are she points to hers and vice versa.

Ella when she's quiet...

I just feel a little like bragging.

Each time Ella does something new I get so excited but I also feel this little wrench of sadness about the baby things she no longer does. I wake each morning sleep deprived (my own fault) but raring to go. I just can't wait for the next new thing!

My brother, Will, flew back home today. It was wonderful having him here to help out during Rob's absence. About two hours before his plane departed I asked Ella if she was "ready to take Uncle Wheel to the airport". She looked at me, nodded yes, turned towards him, started waving, and making kissing sounds. For those of you thinking it was a fluke we repeated the process at least five times. I even have Will as a witness. We couldn't stop laughing at her.

During bath time tonight she picked up a bottle of shampoo and said "bubbles," repeatedly.

After getting dressed for bed I asked Ella if she wanted to "go downstairs and feed Bailey and Jake?" She again nodded yes and headed for the stairs. When we to the bottom she walked over to one of the food bowls, picked it up, and brought it to me.

Sorry about all the bragging. It's just been a wonderful day and this evening I had no one to share with.

Oh no! Is she going to drive like my parents?

Quiet is never a good thing.

Rob and I have learned that when Ella gets quiet, as pleasurable as that may be, we're in trouble.

We recently discovered she can climb the kitchen chairs.

Maybe she was hungry?

So much to post, so little time...

I know! I know! It's been forever. It's been a crazy few weeks. Rob's gone, I'm packing the house for yet another move, my brother's visiting, and I've started job hunting. Will leaves in a few days, Rob gets back the day before our move, and our friends from Canada arrive 5 days later. HELP!!!!

Just an update. Christmas was great fun. Ella's favorite toys were some cars from Santa and a her laptop from Nancy and Bob. The laptop is my personal favorite. It keeps Ella busy while I use the computer. YEAH!

See the response to the first sighting of the cars? She still plays with them with this much pleasure.
