As you all remember, it took ages to find a good daycare for Ella. It's been a perfect fit! She starts saying "Nia," her two-year-old friend, as we round the corner onto the street. The other day I took her out of the car and she began yelling "Nia" as she ran to the front door while Nia was yelling "Ella" just inside. When I pick her up after work she dashes out the front door saying "ome, ome." I couldn't ask for anything better.
Some days Jamie, our provider, emails me photos. Here's one from last week...

Use your words.
Yesterday Mom, Will, Ella, and I were returning from Home Depot where we purchased MORE plants. Ella started babbling, whining, and pointing. When she's unhappy with the music she whines, points to the CD holder, and shakes her head. Will decided to be clever and said; "Ella, use your words." Her one word response was "NO!"

Mommy play...
Much to her father's chagrin, Ella has become enamored with one of her baby dolls. We've tried the truck thing but she's not really all that interested. She pushes the doll around in a doll stroller and places it in her potty while saying "pooh, pooh, pee, pee." Ella became quite frustrated when her size 6 shoe would stay on the table when she lifted the 9" dolls up and out of the shoe. It almost triggered a FIT.
